The Pan- Arab Regional Conference on WSIS
Cairo, 16-18 June 2003

Organized by MCIT, and the League of Arab States

The conference will be held in the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

 

The Pan-Arab Regional Conference is a regional preparatory conference to be held in the intersession between Prep-Com II and Prep Com II 1/2 that will be followed by Prep Com III and thus will be action-oriented taking off from the outcome of Prep- Com II.

The results of the conference will be taken up to 22 Arab Ministers of Communications and Information Technology for endorsement.
 

Objective:
Reaching a unified Arab stance on the action plan to be presented at Prep Com II 1/2 and Prep Com III as well as the Summit.

Organizers:
The conference will be held in coordination with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
